The Betting Agent
Bělohlávek, Jiří ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Grulich, Lukáš (advisor)
This master thesis deals with design and implementation of betting agent. It covers issues such as theoretical background of an online betting, probability and statistics. In its first part it is focused on data mining and explains the principle of knowledge mining form data warehouses and certain methods suitable for different types of tasks. Second, it is concerned with neural networks and algorithm of back-propagation. All the findings are demonstrated on and supported by graphs and histograms of data analysis, made via SAS Enterprise Miner program. In conclusion, the thesis summarizes all the results and offers specific methods of extension of the agent.
Study on the potential of an integrated waste-to-energy unit
Freisleben, Vít ; Turek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the design of technological modifications of the existing industrial unit „waste-to-energy“, used for thermal treatment of process waste gases containing VOC and CO while flue gas is produced. The main objective of the existing unit modification is to improve its operating parameters considering economy, ecology and energy utilization. In the first part, the current industrial plant was presented with all necessary process data. Furthermore, all the key equipment used for the waste gases treatment or for the utilization of waste heat was identified. In the main part of the thesis there are performed modifications of the existing unit including the technology of existing heat exchangers intensification, the design of new and more efficient heat exchangers and finally the catalytic oxidation technology implementation for the decomposition of pollutants contained in the waste gas. The result of the thesis is a technical, economic and ecological comparison of the proposed technological modifications with the existing operation.
Options insulation of the house and its economic return
Kutra, Tomáš ; Majsniar, Michal (referee) ; Kocourková, Gabriela (advisor)
The subject of my thesis work is the solution for thermal insulation of the house and price analysis. The theoretical part will deal with the issue of prices, costs, costing, financing and construction materials that will bring cost savings on top. In the practical part, directly focus on the family house in the village Svárov. If we analyze the cost of fuel at present and suggest solutions that can reduce these costs. Next, calculate the payback time, according to the type of financing and amount of state subsidies from the Green Savings Fund.
Business Plan for Creation of Nursery Garden
Neubauerová, Mirka ; Němec, Jiří (referee) ; Bartoš, Vojtěch (advisor)
The new company will provide complete and long-term services regarding child sitting of pre-school children, while their parents are at work or taking part in social or cultural activities. It will also offer short-term child sitting including walking the children to their interest groups or language classes. Professional child sitters and students of the teacher college of the Masaryk University Brno guarantee high quality services. The price strategy of the agency is based on high quality and comprehensive services and the added value of a high number of professional personnel. A high level of business culture and innovation are the main points describing the company attitude. It will be looking for colleagues with new ideas and closely collaborate with the teacher college.
Heat pump for a family house
Chlud, Jaroslav ; Köbölová, Klaudia (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The topic of the final bachelor thesis is heat pump heating. The aim of the thesis is to design a system using heat pump technology in a family house and economic and energy assessment of the designed system. This thesis focuses on research about heat pumps and usable low-potential heat sources. The envelope method is used to estimate the heat loss. The calculation of heat loss and heat demand is facilitated by using a calculation tool from a web source. The design of the storage water heater is calculated using the standard. Operat-ing costs and payback are calculated by simple formulas. As a result of the work, the design of heat pump, drawing heat from the ground, and the connection of the device to the existing system is implemented, which corresponds to the assignment of the work. A reduction in the total heat demand and therefore energy consumption due to energy saving measures is achieved. The system can benefit by saving operational costs for heating and hot water. The short payback period shows that the investment in the selected heat pump is worthwhile. This work can serve as a basis for the real implementation of the heat pump design.
Low-energy construction in the Czech Republic and abroad
Matuš, Martin ; Vaňková, Lucie (referee) ; Krejza, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis goal is to find actual trends in low-energy construction in the Czech republic and abroad. Also define main concepts of low-energy construction, technical properties of these objects, methods of designing, legislational elements and new findings. Practical´s part main task is to compile statistical data on low-energy construction in the Czech republic and abroad. Aditionally calculate the price indicators and possible payback of low-energy houses.
Feasibility Study of Burner of Rotary Chamber
Galková, Kristína ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This master's thesis talks about main burners of clinker rotary kiln. The first part is focused on the review of burners designed by main global producers. Description of the burners M.A.S.© and Turbu-Flex™ used in kiln system CEMMAC a.s. is in the next part. The influence of the replacement of M.A.S.© burner by Turbu-Flex™ burner is analysed in the last part of this thesis.
Price Analysis of House External Insulation
Votroubková, Jana ; Comorek,, Martin (referee) ; Kocourková, Gabriela (advisor)
Subject of this bachelor thesis is a price analysis of house external insulation. Theoretical part describes prices, costs, calculations and ways of financing building materials and a construction work. Practical part describes ways of an external insulation, thermal insulation properties and heat insulations. It also analyzes house external insulating and compares two options of insulation depending on a payback of an investment to the insulation and saving a heating fuel and a complexity of funding.
Heat pump design for industrial application
Lauterbach, David ; Daxner, Ján (referee) ; Freisleben, Vít (advisor)
This thesis deals with the thermal-hydraulic design of a high-temperature heat pump for industrial application and the technical, economic, and environmental evaluation of its use in comparison with traditional sources of heat energy. The current issue of rising energy prices is introduced, as are technologies for waste heat recovery in industrial plants as a possible solution to mitigate the impact of rising prices. In the next part of the thesis, the results of the research on high-temperature heat pump technology are presented, including their technological design, an overview of the working fluid used, and a description of the basic applied components such as heat exchangers, compressors, and pressure-reducing valves. The practical part focuses on the design of a high-temperature heat pump for a specific industrial plant. Using simulation software tools, a suitable working fluid and thermodynamic cycle of the heat pump are selected. This is followed by the thermal-hydraulic design of the evaporator, condenser, and selection of compressors. At the end of this thesis, an economic evaluation of the designed plant in the given operation and its comparison with traditional thermal energy sources are presented. The analysis shows that an investment in a heat pump at current energy prices is associated with a acceptable payback period and energy savings compared to traditional sources of thermal energy.
